Forms of Prayer

Use this handy song to remember to include the different ways to pray every day!

"Head and shoulders, knees and toes;
Eyes and ears and mouth and nose;
Head and shoulders, knees and toes!"

Head: remember to set aside 5-10 min each day to talk to God and Jesus in your own words
Shoulders: when we pray for others, we are spiritually helping them to carry their burdens
Knees: we praise and adore God...simply because He IS God
Toes: reminds us to follow Jesus' Law of Love to stay on the path to heaven; when we sin and stray off that path, we ask God to forgive us.  We also ask for anything/everything we need to stay on the path to heaven (like more patience, generosity, courage, honesty, etc.)
Eyes and ears and mouth and nose: we give thanks to God for all he has already given to us!
