Can you use an hour of quiet in your daily life?
Would you like to pour your heart out to someone who would really listen?
Here at St. Michael’s, for the past 20 years, we have had adorers covering all 24 hours a day, every day in our Adoration Chapel, experiencing that absolute quiet and pouring their hearts out to the only one who really listens, Jesus, in the Blessed Sacrament.
Many witnesses have testified to the remarkable changes they have experienced in their lives by spending an hour with Jesus - - a commitment that seemed a little daunting at first, but is now such a part of their lives that they couldn’t imagine their life without it; in fact, there are many who have multiple hours.
It’s just one hour in an entire week, but it’s the best hour there is. If you would like to be a part of this wonderful ministry, please consider signing up for an hour and experience Jesus face to face.
Jesus waits for us in this Sacrament of Love
“In the sacred Host, He is present, the true treasure, always waiting for us.
Only by adoring this Presence do we learn how to receive Him properly.”
Sacramentum Caritatis, Pope Benedict XVI
On June 11, 1997, under the leadership of Msgr. Thomas J. Trapasso, St. Michael Parish began Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration. As Pope John Paul II stated, “The visit to the Blessed Sacrament is a great treasure of the Catholic faith. It nourishes social love and gives us opportunities for adoration and thanksgiving, for reparation and supplication. “
As an expression of our love and reverence for the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist, dedicated adorers observe perpetual adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament in the chapel 24 hours a day.
In St. Michael Adoration chapel, God ministers to His people and the adorers minister to God Himself. The Lord strengthens and transforms us as we pray in His presence. Many graces have been granted to individuals, marriages and families as a result of prayer time spent before Jesus in the Chapel.
You are most welcome to personally visit Jesus in the St. Michael Chapel, which is attached to the church building. You may stop in anytime for a quick visit or for a longer visit with Jesus, if you wish. The more time you spend with Our Lord, the more you will come away feeling renewed and healed. We invite you to become a regular adorer, which means that you and a partner become responsible for seeing that our Lord is not left alone for a particular hour of the week. So come join us and as Our Lord asked His Apostles, He asks of us, “Can you not watch one hour with Me?” St. Michael parish invites you to come be refreshed and renewed and adore Jesus, our most loving Lord and Savior present in the Most Blessed Sacrament and who waits lovingly for you.
*In case of inclement weather, Adoration Chapel will be closed and you will be notified.
*During Mass times, and then during the Sacred Triduum the Adoration Chapel will be closed.
